Pap test is known with many names like cervical test, Smear test or Pap smear test. It is a simple diagnostic
procedure that is done to assess the cervical cells, at the base of the uterus.
Though it ensures out the infection and irregularity of cervix, it is not used as a detection tool for malignancy. Pap’ smear test is not done in females with repeated prior pap tests and females without cervix.
